Terms of Use

Effective 5 October 2026 · These terms are an agreement between you and SYMPL, the maker of CoLog.

The short version

1. Accepting these terms

By downloading or using the CoLog app or this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use CoLog.

2. Who can use CoLog

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to use apps like CoLog without a parent's consent. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they're responsible for any purchases.

3. Your license to use CoLog

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use CoLog on devices you own or control, for your own personal or household use, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from. CoLog, its design, logo and code belong to SYMPL. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it.

4. Your content

Everything you create in CoLog (workspaces, buttons, rules, logs and notes) is yours. Because it's stored on your device and in your own iCloud or Google Drive, and not on our servers, we don't need or take any license to it. You're responsible for your content and for keeping backups of anything important. If you use CoLog as a guest, your data exists only on that device and is lost if the device is lost or the app is deleted.

5. Accounts and storage

You can sign in with Apple or Google to back up and sync your content. Your Apple or Google account is governed by their terms, and your content counts toward your iCloud or Google Drive storage. If that storage is full, unavailable or deleted, sync may stop or data may be lost. Keep your accounts and devices secure, because anyone with access to them can access your logs.

6. Shared workspaces

When you share a workspace, everyone you invite can see and add logs in it, and can see who made each log. Only invite people you trust, and only add information about other people if you have the right to. You're responsible for what you add to shared workspaces. The workspace owner can remove members, and removed members may keep copies already synced to their devices.

7. Free version and ads

The free version of CoLog includes every feature and is supported by ads from third-party ad networks. Ads are provided by those networks, and we don't endorse what's advertised. Your dealings with advertisers are between you and them. How ad data is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.

8. CoLog Plus subscription

9. Not medical advice

CoLog helps you record things and reminds you based on rules you create. It isn't a medical device, doesn't give medical, health or dosing advice, and isn't a substitute for a doctor, pharmacist or other professional. Reminders depend on your device, its settings and notification permissions, and may be delayed or not shown, so never rely on CoLog alone for medication or anything where a missed reminder could cause harm. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

11. Third-party services

CoLog relies on Apple, Google, the app stores and ad networks. Their services have their own terms and policies, and we aren't responsible for them, their availability, or any data loss they cause.

12. Changes to CoLog

We're always improving CoLog and may add, change or remove features. If we stop offering CoLog Plus or the app entirely, we'll give reasonable notice where possible and won't charge renewals after that.

13. Ending these terms

You can stop using CoLog at any time: delete your account in the app (Account → Delete account), uninstall it, and cancel any subscription. We may suspend or end your access to our invite service or other features if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Because your content isn't stored with us, it remains in your device and cloud account. Sections 4, 9 and 14 to 17 continue after these terms end.

14. Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, CoLog is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that reminders will always be delivered.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, SYMPL won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of CoLog. Our total liability for any claim relating to CoLog is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for CoLog Plus in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

16. Indemnity

If you use CoLog in breach of these terms or the law, and that causes a claim against SYMPL by someone else, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in your local courts.

18. App Store and Google Play terms

If you downloaded CoLog from the Apple App Store, these terms are between you and SYMPL, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for CoLog or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and, to the extent the law allows, has no other warranty obligation, except to refund the purchase price if the app fails to meet any applicable warranty. Apple isn't responsible for handling claims about CoLog, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm you aren't in a country under a US government embargo and aren't on any US government list of prohibited parties. Your use must also comply with Apple's Usage Rules (including the Standard EULA, where it applies) or Google Play's terms, as relevant.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll update the date at the top and tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using CoLog after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, stop using CoLog and cancel any subscription.

20. Contact
